Description

Bio-mimetic peptides are small proteins consisting of several amino acids normally attached to a carrier molecule in order to improve skin penetration and bioavailability. These ingredients are used as active ingredients in cosmetic products due to the progress made in the field of biotechnology. When these peptides reach the tissue, they take part in the communication between cells and may generate specific biochemical signals for processes such as collagen production and tissue repair. DERMAXYLTM – Dermaxyl is composed of a combination of a bio-mimetic peptide (palmitoyl hexapeptide 12) and ceramide. It boosts the synthesis of the skin matrix components and supports the barrier function of the skin. A clinical trial with this ingredient showed considerable improvement in wrinkles depth, volume and density. Meso Booster Peptide contains 2% Dermaxyl.

The booster is further enriched with additional active ingredients:

Niacinamide – Niacinamide has remarkable effects on the skin. Wrinkle reduction: niacinamide stimulates the repair and the remodeling of collagen. Skin lightening: niacinamide inhibits melanin transfer in the skin and imparts an even skin tone. Niacinamide is also effective in treating reddish skin and in reducing sebum levels.

Vitamin E – Vitamin E has many beneficial effects on the skin: it increases the level of moisture in the stratum corneum (Latin for ‘horny layer’) of the epidermis, it has skin calming effects and decreases the damage to the skin following exposure to UV irradiation. Vitamin E is a strong anti[1]oxidant protecting the skin cells from free radicals.

Allantoin – Allantoin has soothing and anti-irritating properties. It has also a moisturizing effect, increasing the water content the skin. Allantoin enhances the exfoliation of upper layers of dead skin cells, increasing the smoothness of the skin. It stimulates healthy tissue formation and it protects the skin from irritants and sensitizing materials.

Meso Booster Vitamin C

Description

This booster contains a special active form of vitamin C, VC-IP (ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate), showing a better efficacy than the simple molecule of vitamin C (ascorbic acid). It is also much more stable and is not oxidized easily like ascorbic acid. This molecule penetrates the skin much better than the simple form of vitamin C. Studies on VC-IP have demonstrated it is a powerful antioxidant effective in skin lightening and reducing skin damage after exposure to UV light. It was also demonstrated that VC-IP increases the synthesis of collagen in the skin and inhibits the MMP enzymes. The main factor in wrinkle formation is collagen, elastin and other structural proteins being degraded by these enzymes. These characteristics make VC-IP an excellent anti-aging active material. Meso Booster Vitamin C contains 3% VC-IP.
